Sig's Book Reviews
I will be evaluating books
from an amateurs point of view. What I believe amateurs are looking for
in a chess book. If you are looking for the technical value of chess
books-that is-page 32 line 3 is no longer valid or line 2 page 66 was
refuted last week or there was some wrong analysis on a particular
line- do not bother reading my reviews. I am not qualified for such
technical analysis. I will be looking for lots of understandable text
and full games instead of bits and pieces that sometimes confuses the
club player. I will be looking for the chess book to be able to establish
a relationship with the amateur and his mortal abilities to understand
what the author is trying to relate.
